For some time now AWCC (Association of Waterway Cruising Clubs) has been asking the BSS (Boat Safety Scheme) for guidance on the use of Lithium Batteries in boats.

As to the guidance for BSS examiners apparently BSS offer no specific guidance for Lithium battery installations and refer to them as to be treated like any battery installation.

There are many stories circulating of BSS examiners seemingly applying their own interpretation of what they think there should be.

Any conflicts on this subject should be referred to BSS.
